Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Texans spent the Round 3 slot on Jackson Slater, a name most had 70 spots down the list. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. Campbell at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Job largely done: running back settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
