Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Texans spent pick No. 89 on Jackson Slater, a name the board had a full 59 spots lower. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

That Edwards pick is the receipt they will wave around later. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Running back is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
