The Texans went off the board in a big way for Jackson Slater, 60 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

Getting Egbuka where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. They left with running back solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
