The tape said wait; the Texans did not. Jalyx Hunt went at the 128th overall pick, a good 42 picks before the board was ready. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

That Rosemy-Jacksaint pick is the receipt they will wave around later. They will answer for taking S-EDGE early while edge rusher, offensive lineman and other spots went begging. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with running back chief among the fixes.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
