Somebody in slot 164 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Texans sat still while Smael Mondon Jr., the No. 105 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

They are betting Jackson proves the room right and everyone else wrong. That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
