Draft Grade — Texans
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Best value of the weekend goes to the Texans for Gordon II: B-.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Ollie Gordon II tumbling to the Texans in the 241st overall pick is a gift they did not have to think twice about.

The Jackson reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. Job largely done: running back settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.

The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Tyler Booker
In No. 25 they get a plug-and-play piece up front, though they paid up to get him.
Pick57 Rnd2 Donovan Jackson
Donovan Jackson at the Round 2 slot is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. The roster fit checks out.
Pick89 Rnd3 Alfred Collins
Alfred Collins at pick No. 89 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick126 Rnd4 Andrew Mukuba
A safety of that caliber at slot 126 is the definition of value, full stop. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick164 Rnd5 Oronde Gadsden II
Oronde Gadsden II in the 164th pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick241 Rnd7 Ollie Gordon II
Steal is underselling it; Ollie Gordon II at the 241st overall pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
