You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Vikings did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high. It washes out to a C, no better and no worse.

The Mitchell pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Guyton.

It is not that DeJean is a bad player; it is that the Vikings had louder needs to answer first. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped safety, which is a strange place to end up.
