There is reaching, and then there is Leonard Taylor III at slot 85. The Texans jumped the board by 27 and dared it to prove them wrong. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Running back is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
