The Texans cashed the board's mistake on McCaffrey: B-.

Somebody in No. 188 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Texans sat still while Luke McCaffrey, the No. 149 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

They will need Tagovailoa to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

Running back was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
