Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Texans were there to profit. Luke McCaffrey, the No. 164 name on the board, should have been long gone before No. 236.

Every board in the league had Hopper lower, and that gap is the story. The running back hole is the one line item this class does not answer. On the needs board they went 3 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
