Nobody had Blake Watson this high, and it is not close. The Texans reached 36 spots to get him at Round 7, Pick 32. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

Landing Arnold that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. The Sainristil pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at offensive lineman and quarterback.

A whole weekend of picks and offensive lineman is somehow still a want. Running back was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
