Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Johnny Wilson got past him. The Texans do not have to explain a thing at Round 6, Pick 13. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

The Jefferson reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Spending an early pick on cornerback with edge rusher, offensive lineman and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

Running back is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
