When the story of this class is written, it opens with Sam Hartman at the Round 7 slot, a reach of 25 spots that the board flatly disagrees with.

The Puni pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at interior defensive lineman, linebacker and other spots. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Vaki.

That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
