Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB TradesA- FutureD
The Raiders answered their biggest question with Daniels. Grade: B-.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Raiders spent their marquee pick on Jayden Daniels, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took McClellan. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Henderson reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick9 Rnd1 Jayden Daniels
In Round 1, Pick 9 they get their guy under center for the next decade. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick44 Rnd2 Leonard Taylor III
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Leonard Taylor III at pick No. 44 is the proof. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick82 Rnd3 Payton Wilson
A clean, defensible pick in the 82nd overall pick with a little surplus value in Payton Wilson. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick112 Rnd4 Max Melton
No drama and no debate, Max Melton went about where he belonged in slot 112. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick117 Rnd4 Cooper Beebe
A tidy little value on Cooper Beebe in pick 117, a step better than break-even. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick150 Rnd5 LaDarius Henderson
They jumped the gun on LaDarius Henderson, taking him earlier than his grade liked. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick190 Rnd6 De'Corian Clark
A straight-up fair deal on De'Corian Clark at the Round 6 slot, value and slot in agreement. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick234 Rnd7 Jase McClellan
Jase McClellan at No. 234 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick235 Rnd7 Dwight McGlothern
Value with a capital V on Dwight McGlothern in Round 7, Pick 15, a genuine coup. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
