Start where it matters. The Patriots took Caleb Williams to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. Fine in stretches, shaky in others: a C.

Getting Rosemy-Jacksaint where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

It grades out a shrug today, with plenty of room to move either way.
