The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Saints watched Tykee Smith slide 30 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. A dependable weekend that grades out a B+.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. The Michael Jackson deal gives the class an established piece to lean on. If Johnson pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
