Henderson should have been long gone. The Vikings pounced, and earned a A. When a board-topper like TreVeyon Henderson slides to the Round 5 slot, you do not overthink it, and the Vikings did not.
The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Vikings clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.
Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Barrett Carter and all.
Pick Analysis
Pick148
Rnd5
Barrett Carter
Barrett Carter in the 148th overall pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick159
Rnd5
TreVeyon Henderson
You do not let a running back like TreVeyon Henderson reach No. 159 and blink. They did not. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick173
Rnd5
Jake Majors
They robbed the room for Jake Majors here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick242
Rnd7
Jordan Hancock
Somehow Jordan Hancock was still sitting there in pick 242, and they pounced on premier safety value. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
