The Saints ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided.

However the rest shakes out, Simpson at that price is a win they earned. They will need Johnson to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
