Barrow Jr. should have been long gone. The Chiefs pounced, and earned a B-. This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Simeon Barrow Jr., the No. 203 name on the board, stolen at pick No. 256.
Every board in the league had Gordon II lower, and that gap is the story. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. Tight end is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick31
Rnd1
Derrick Harmon
In slot 31 they get a wrecking ball inside. A real need, handled.
Pick63
Rnd2
Donovan Ezeiruaku
A straight-up fair deal on Donovan Ezeiruaku at the 63rd pick, value and slot in agreement. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick66
Rnd3
Elijah Arroyo
Elijah Arroyo at the Round 3 slot is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick95
Rnd3
Andrew Mukuba
Andrew Mukuba at pick No. 95 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick132
Rnd4
Ollie Gordon II
A real head-scratcher, Ollie Gordon II in Round 4, Pick 31 is miles ahead of his ranking. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick256
Rnd7
Simeon Barrow Jr.
Steal is underselling it; Simeon Barrow Jr. at pick 256 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The roster fit checks out.
