Hhhh DRAFTING FOR THEJets

Draft Grade — Jets
Overall

FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Jets: B. Everything else got attention, and edge rusher got none. That is a strange way for the Jets to leave a draft. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.
They are betting Bernard proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Getting Klubnik where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.
On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with quarterback the one that mattered most. They reloaded the coverage unit in bulk.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick Analysis
Pick2
Rnd1
Caleb Downs
In pick No. 2 they get a rangy last line of defense. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick16
Rnd1
Mansoor Delane
In Round 1, Pick 16 they get an island corner at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick33
Rnd2
Germie Bernard
A big swing on Germie Bernard at slot 33, well ahead of any board in the building. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick44
Rnd2
Sonny Styles
A tidy little value on Sonny Styles in No. 44, a step better than break-even. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick103
Rnd4
Cade Klubnik
They let Cade Klubnik come to them and pounced at the Round 4 slot. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
