The real work happened on the phones. The Cowboys fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with.

If Lawrence pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.

On value alone, Haulcy makes the weekend a net positive. The Justin Jefferson pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
