A costly weekend of dealing drags the Cowboys to a D-.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Cowboys did exactly that with Bobby Jamison-Travis in the Round 5 slot. The math is unkind, and the D- follows.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and running back is still a hole.
