FutureB-
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Saints and Cisse: B+. You build a draft on nights like this. Brandon Cisse had no business being available in slot 80, and the Saints did the only sane thing and turned in the card. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.
The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick Analysis
Pick16
Rnd1
Carnell Tate
In Round 1, Pick 16 they get a true top target at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick44
Rnd2
Anthony Hill Jr.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Anthony Hill Jr. at pick No. 44 is the proof. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick69
Rnd3
Elijah Sarratt
Elijah Sarratt at slot 69 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick80
Rnd3
Brandon Cisse
The board fumbled Brandon Cisse all the way to the Round 3 slot, and they scooped it up. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick94
Rnd3
Eli Stowers
They robbed the room for Eli Stowers here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick103
Rnd4
Mikail Kamara
By-the-book stuff, Mikail Kamara at pick 103 squarely in line with his ranking. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick106
Rnd4
Brian Parker II
They will replay Brian Parker II at No. 106 for years; that is how good the value is. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick131
Rnd4
Skyler Gill-Howard
They jumped the gun on Skyler Gill-Howard, taking him earlier than his grade liked. It fills a real need, too.
Pick149
Rnd5
J'Mari Taylor
J'Mari Taylor at the 149th overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick171
Rnd5
DJ Campbell
Good price on DJ Campbell in the Round 5 slot, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick189
Rnd6
Bud Clark
Nothing to complain about; Bud Clark went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
