The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Jets watched Jermod McCoy slide 226 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. It holds up to a second look, which is why it earns the A.

They have staked the next five years on Fernando Mendoza, which is the only story that really matters here. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. The safety hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The Jets indulged a want in Styles while a need in safety, interior defensive lineman and other spots stayed open.

Trust the process, because this time the process plainly worked.
