Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall D+
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesF FutureB
The Ravens got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D+.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Ravens shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up. The cost of the Keenan III reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and running back is still a hole.

Pick Analysis
Pick14 Rnd1 Carnell Tate
In No. 14 they get a No. 1 receiver. A real need, handled.
Pick37 Rnd2 Olaivavega Ioane
They took Olaivavega Ioane at par in slot 37, which is nothing to complain about. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick80 Rnd3 Domonique Orange
They read the board right and Domonique Orange was the payoff at the 80th overall pick. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick105 Rnd4 D'Angelo Ponds
D'Angelo Ponds at pick 105 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick123 Rnd4 Tim Keenan III
The board had cheaper options than Tim Keenan III at the Round 4 slot, and it noticed. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick173 Rnd5 Bud Clark
Bud Clark at the 173rd pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick245 Rnd7 Micah Morris
Micah Morris in Round 7, Pick 29 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
