The Bills turned the phones into found money: B-. The trade table was a mismatch, and the Bills were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.
The linebacker spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. However the rest shakes out, Banks at that price is a win they earned.
The Bills clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before. They went 1 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the linebacker spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick40
Rnd2
Brandon Cisse
No drama and no debate, Brandon Cisse went about where he belonged in slot 40. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick60
Rnd2
Caleb Banks
Nice patience on Caleb Banks, who had no business lasting to Round 2, Pick 28. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
