Draft Grade — Commanders
Overall

FutureA+
The Commanders won the night they stopped Reese from sliding. Grade: B. Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Commanders, and the value they bled adds up to real damage.
That Reese pick is the receipt they will wave around later. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They are betting Heidenreich proves the room right and everyone else wrong.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick Analysis
Pick31
Rnd1
Arvell Reese
In the Round 1 slot they get a three-down second-level presence, outstanding value to boot.
Pick63
Rnd2
Emmanuel McNeil-Warren
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Emmanuel McNeil-Warren in slot 63. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick71
Rnd3
Eli Stowers
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Eli Stowers at Round 3, Pick 7 is the proof. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick125
Rnd4
Parker Brailsford
A clean, defensible pick in the 125th pick with a little surplus value in Parker Brailsford. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick145
Rnd5
Kyle Louis
A straight-up fair deal on Kyle Louis at No. 145, value and slot in agreement. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Pick185
Rnd6
Jaydn Ott
Fair-plus on Jaydn Ott, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick196
Rnd6
Ephesians Prysock
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Ephesians Prysock at the 196th pick. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick223
Rnd7
Eli Heidenreich
A big swing on Eli Heidenreich at No. 223, well ahead of any board in the building. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
