The rest of the league had time to spare on Jacobe Covington; the Colts did not wait, grabbing him 337 spots ahead at pick 14. Too much went sideways, and the D is the honest tally.

The Martinez pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
