After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Saints committed. Ty Simpson is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Casey. Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Height reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the tight end spot they never got to.
