If confidence were a draft strategy, the Panthers would have aced it. Eric O'Neill at Round 5, Pick 19 is 51 spots clear of where he belonged. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

Leaving offensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Getting Hurst where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 4 of 9 of the wish list covered.
