Draft Grade — Browns
Overall
B
ValueB
NeedA-
TradesB-
FutureB-
The Browns answered their biggest question with Moore. Grade: B. After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Browns committed. Dante Moore is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
The cost of the Miller reach is exactly the players who went right after him. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.
The Fifita steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick Analysis
Pick6
Rnd1
Dante Moore
In pick 6 they get their quarterback of the future at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick28
Rnd1
Chris Brazzell II
In slot 28 they get a home-run threat at receiver. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick39
Rnd2
Colton Hood
They did well to land Colton Hood in the 39th pick, just ahead of his grade. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick70
Rnd3
Brian Parker II
No drama and no debate, Brian Parker II went about where he belonged in Round 3, Pick 6. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick107
Rnd4
Blake Miller
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Blake Miller well ahead of where he belonged. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick139
Rnd5
Demond Claiborne
Demond Claiborne at the Round 5 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick144
Rnd5
Logan Jones
They took Logan Jones at par in No. 144, which is nothing to complain about. The roster fit checks out.
Pick147
Rnd5
Jakobe Thomas
Good price on Jakobe Thomas in the 147th overall pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick206
Rnd6
Rayshaun Benny
Rayshaun Benny in the 206th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick248
Rnd7
Noah Fifita
Noah Fifita at slot 248 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
