The Tanor Bortolini pick is the one that will follow the Panthers into the fall. They took him 92 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped linebacker, which is a strange place to end up. The Dixon value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

They went 5 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, linebacker very much included.
