Best value of the weekend goes to the Vikings for Ponds: B-.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Vikings were there to profit. D'Angelo Ponds, the No. 51 name on the board, should have been long gone before slot 82. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

They will need Rice to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. It is not that Ponds is a bad player; it is that the Vikings had louder needs to answer first. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
