The Texans checked most of the boxes and earned a B-.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Texans did exactly that with Roman Hemby in the 244th pick. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

They punted on wide receiver, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Landing Banks that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. They left with running back solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
