The Saints bled value on every deal, hence the D. Nobody else had Trey Moore anywhere near No. 132. The Saints did, by 86 spots, and that gap is the whole story. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D is the result.
The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. For all the activity, tight end went untouched, which is hard to explain.
Landing Daniels that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.
The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
