Draft Grade — Rams
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB FutureB-
Good, not great, for the Rams: B-.

Boards are made to be trusted, and the Rams shredded theirs for Cody Lindenberg. He came off 36 spots early, and the room will hear about it. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

Schwesinger at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick50 Rnd2 Harold Fannin Jr.
By-the-book stuff, Harold Fannin Jr. at the 50th pick squarely in line with his ranking. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick52 Rnd2 TreVeyon Henderson
TreVeyon Henderson at No. 52 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick90 Rnd3 Carson Schwesinger
Taking Carson Schwesinger in slot 90 is close to grand larceny; a linebacker that good had no business lasting this long. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick101 Rnd3 Zy Alexander
Zy Alexander in the 101st overall pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick127 Rnd4 Anthony Belton
Anthony Belton slid further than he should have, and pick 127 is lovely value for the offensive lineman. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick190 Rnd6 Dont'e Thornton Jr.
Dont'e Thornton Jr. at the Round 6 slot nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick195 Rnd6 CJ West
CJ West is a better player than the 195th overall pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick201 Rnd6 Caleb Ransaw
They took Caleb Ransaw at par in No. 201, which is nothing to complain about. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick202 Rnd6 Isaac TeSlaa
Isaac TeSlaa at Round 6, Pick 26 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick223 Rnd7 Cody Lindenberg
They left a pile of value on the table to take Cody Lindenberg this early at the 223rd pick. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
