The Dolphins bled value on every deal, hence the D. Nobody else had Dominic Zvada anywhere near the Round 4 slot. The Dolphins did, by 113 spots, and that gap is the whole story. The process wobbled, and the D is where it lands.
Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
The Zvada pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at running back and offensive lineman. Orange falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and running back is still a hole.
