Draft Grade — Titans
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Good, not great, for the Titans: B-.

The Titans torched the value chart for Kalil Alexander, taking him 66 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

They will regret leaving tight end for another day if the season turns on it. Daniels at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the tight end spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick3 Rnd1 Arvell Reese
In the Round 1 slot they get a green-dot type in the middle, even if it was a touch early. A real need, handled.
Pick43 Rnd2 Elijah Sarratt
A straight-up fair deal on Elijah Sarratt at pick No. 43, value and slot in agreement. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick65 Rnd3 Jonah Coleman
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Jonah Coleman at No. 65. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick97 Rnd3 Julian Neal
They let Julian Neal come to them and pounced at the 97th overall pick. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick103 Rnd4 Malachi Fields
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Malachi Fields in Round 4, Pick 3. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick142 Rnd5 Blake Miller
Good price on Blake Miller in the 142nd pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick148 Rnd5 Terry Moore
A slide stopped in Round 5, Pick 8, with Terry Moore worth more than the price. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick161 Rnd5 David Oke
David Oke in the 161st overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick181 Rnd6 Jermaine Mathews Jr.
By-the-book stuff, Jermaine Mathews Jr. at slot 181 squarely in line with his ranking. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
Pick197 Rnd6 Kalil Alexander
They left a pile of value on the table to take Kalil Alexander this early at pick No. 197. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick240 Rnd7 Jalon Daniels
Jalon Daniels is a better player than No. 240 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A need, and now a little less of one.
