Grand theft in pick No. 101: the Titans steal Scott and grade out a B-.

Somebody in Round 4, Pick 1 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Titans sat still while Keionte Scott, the No. 68 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They will answer for taking cornerback early while edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots went begging.

On the needs board they went 3 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most. They reloaded the coverage unit in bulk.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick Analysis
Pick4 Rnd1 Caleb Downs
In the Round 1 slot they get an enforcer at safety. More want than need.
Pick35 Rnd2 Chris Brazzell II
By-the-book stuff, Chris Brazzell II at the 35th pick squarely in line with his ranking. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick66 Rnd3 Keith Abney II
They took Keith Abney II at par in pick 66, which is nothing to complain about. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick101 Rnd4 Keionte Scott
The eyebrow-raiser of the weekend. They went cornerback with Keionte Scott while clear needs at edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots sat open.
Pick141 Rnd5 Kage Casey
Kage Casey in slot 141 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick143 Rnd5 Max Iheanachor
They paid sticker price for Max Iheanachor in the 143rd overall pick, and that is fine. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick183 Rnd6 Le'Veon Moss
Le'Veon Moss at pick No. 183 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick238 Rnd7 J. Michael Sturdivant
Nothing to complain about; J. Michael Sturdivant went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It fills a real need, too.
