No fireworks, just a tidy B for the Falcons.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Falcons did exactly that with Amare Campbell in pick No. 190. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. The Falcons clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
