Good, not great, for the Titans: B-. For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Titans walked out of the weekend still thin at edge rusher, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
Zuhn III has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. On value alone, O'Connor makes the weekend a net positive. The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick10
Rnd1
Arvell Reese
In the 10th pick they get a sideline-to-sideline linebacker. A real need, handled.
Pick35
Rnd2
Anthony Hill Jr.
Fair-plus on Anthony Hill Jr., a quiet win that adds up over a draft. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick66
Rnd3
Keionte Scott
No drama and no debate, Keionte Scott went about where he belonged in slot 66. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick101
Rnd4
Kaytron Allen
Kaytron Allen in the Round 4 slot is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick140
Rnd5
Davison Igbinosun
A straight-up fair deal on Davison Igbinosun at pick 140, value and slot in agreement. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
Pick142
Rnd5
Jaden Greathouse
A clean, defensible pick in No. 142 with a little surplus value in Jaden Greathouse. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick182
Rnd6
Trey Zuhn III
Trey Zuhn III in pick No. 182 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick238
Rnd7
Ethan O'Connor
The board had Ethan O'Connor higher than the 238th overall pick, and the cornerback fell to them anyway. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
