A franchise passer in Mendoza headlines a B+ weekend for the Jets.

After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Jets committed. Fernando Mendoza is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.

Reaching for Gyllenborg left real value on the table behind him. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.

However the rest shakes out, Thieneman at that price is a win they earned. Job largely done: quarterback settled and 8 of 8 of the wish list covered.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
