Draft Grade — 49ers
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the 49ers.

The 49ers looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Mikail Kamara at the 133rd pick regardless, 22 picks early. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. However the rest shakes out, McCoy at that price is a win they earned. They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick27 Rnd1 Jermod McCoy
In the Round 1 slot they get an island corner at a price that makes it sweeter.
Pick58 Rnd2 Chase Bisontis
A tidy little value on Chase Bisontis in the 58th pick, a step better than break-even. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick127 Rnd4 Jack Endries
Good price on Jack Endries in Round 4, Pick 27, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. The roster fit checks out.
Pick133 Rnd4 Mikail Kamara
They reached a country mile for Mikail Kamara at No. 133, and the board is aghast. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick138 Rnd4 Chris McClellan
A straight-up fair deal on Chris McClellan at slot 138, value and slot in agreement. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick139 Rnd4 Parker Brailsford
They let Parker Brailsford come to them and pounced at pick No. 139. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
