The Commanders ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.

The Commanders indulged a want in Clark while a need in quarterback, running back and other spots stayed open. They banked enough surplus on Kilgore to cover a lot of smaller sins. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
