Overall B-

No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Jets.

For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Jets walked out of the weekend still thin at quarterback, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

However the rest shakes out, Banks at that price is a win they earned. Reaching for Johnson left real value on the table behind him.

They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick Analysis
Pick2 Rnd1 Arvell Reese
In slot 2 they get a green-dot type in the middle at fair value.
Pick16 Rnd1 Makai Lemon
In the 16th overall pick they get a home-run threat at receiver. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick33 Rnd2 Chris Johnson
Chris Johnson at the 33rd pick is a conviction pick that outran the value. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick44 Rnd2 Caleb Banks
Value with a capital V on Caleb Banks in the Round 2 slot, a genuine coup. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
