The Jets fleeced the room on the phones and earned a A-. Whoever sat across the table from the Jets should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend.
The Perkins Jr. pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at quarterback and offensive lineman. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback.
The Reese value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. If Crawford pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
It is a haul that will look even better come September.
