There is conviction, and then there is this. The Jaguars took Akheem Mesidor a full 39 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

Landing Arnold that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. The Jaguars indulged a want in Mesidor while a need in interior defensive lineman, safety and other spots stayed open. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
