You can hear the double-takes from here. The Commanders took Princewill Umanmielen at pick No. 223, roughly 50 spots before his name belonged. The final tally is a middling C+.

That is an edge rusher worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The trade table is where this weekend went wrong.

For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Tuli Tuipulotu deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

If Makai Lemon and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
