Draft Grade — Rams
Overall
B-
ValueB

TradesB-
FutureB-
No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Rams. The rest of the league will want that one back. Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint tumbling to the Rams in Round 7, Pick 34 is a gift they did not have to think twice about.
If Jones pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick Analysis
Pick12
Rnd1
Brock Bowers
In the Round 1 slot they get a mismatch in the passing game. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick26
Rnd1
Terrion Arnold
In slot 26 they get a lockdown presence outside at fair value. More want than need.
Pick83
Rnd3
Blake Fisher
Blake Fisher at Round 3, Pick 19 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick99
Rnd3
Malik Washington
They will replay Malik Washington at No. 99 for years; that is how good the value is. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick154
Rnd5
Jordan Travis
Jordan Travis in the 154th overall pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. The roster fit checks out.
Pick196
Rnd6
Nathaniel Watson
No edge and no loss on Nathaniel Watson in slot 196; it is a wash and a sensible one. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick209
Rnd6
Cody Schrader
Cody Schrader in the Round 6 slot is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick213
Rnd6
Trey Taylor
They paid a round early for Trey Taylor in the 213th pick, more than the board wanted. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick217
Rnd6
Matthew Jones
Matthew Jones at pick 217 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick254
Rnd7
Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint
A wide receiver of that caliber at pick No. 254 is the definition of value, full stop. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
