After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Raiders committed. Fernando Mendoza is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. Fine in stretches, shaky in others: a C-.

The cost of the Farooq reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close.

On value alone, Muhammad makes the weekend a net positive. They will regret leaving tight end for another day if the season turns on it.

So much rides on Fernando Mendoza that the real verdict is a season or two away.
